Vantis Vascular Reports 1st Commercial Use of CrossFAST Microcatheter System

The CrossFAST integrated microcatheter advanced delivery system was used in a series of ten successful, complex, high-risk coronary interventional procedures.

Vantis Vascular, a medtech company focused on revolutionizing vascular interventions, has reported the first commercial case with its CrossFAST integrated microcatheter advanced delivery system.

CrossFAST was used in a series of ten successful, complex, high-risk coronary interventional procedures (CHiP). Dr. Amir Kaki at St. John’s Hospital in Detroit, Mich. performed the first case.

The first clinical use of CrossFAST showed 100% procedural success with quick and reliable delivery to the target location, successful stent delivery, and no device-related complications, Vantis reported. Superior deliverability was also noted during several highly complex cases where a traditional guide extension catheter failed to reach the target lesion and was swapped for the CrossFAST system.

CrossFAST is now available in the U.S. as part of a limited market release. Full market released is expected for later in 2025.

The system is the first, only dual monorail microcatheter advanced delivery system purpose-built for complex coronary and peripheral interventions.

Guide extension catheters have limited ability to reach target areas in high-risk PCIs and have shown risk of vessel trauma and damage to previously placed stents. CrossFAST leverages an integrated microcatheter with seamless transition to reduce the risk of these adverse events during delivery.

It’s powered by Vantis’ DuoPRO interlocking technology, which couples the microcatheter to the outer delivery catheter. This allows the system’s advancement as one unit for better pushability and navigation, which is a limitation of guide extension catheters.
